Atlas Resource Partners (a MLP) Prices a Tiny Preferred Offering

Oil and gas producer Atlas Resource Partners (ticker:ARP) has priced a new preferred offering at 10.75%–wow. This is a tiny offering of only 255,000 shares (with overallotment of 38,250). Obviously they don’t want to issue more than is necessary at that coupon.
ARP has over 14,000 operating wells and they are natural gas focused. We may have an interest in this issue at this rate. While we are not fans of perpetuals if the financials are right we would be willing to take a small chance on this one at 10.75%
ARP has 1 other issue outstanding at a current yield of 10.34%.
