Iofina is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is involved in the exploration and production of iodine and halogen-based specialty chemical derivatives. Co. identifies, develops, builds, owns and operates iodine extraction plants, focused in North America, based on Co.'s Wellhead Extraction Technology® (WET®) IOsorb® technology. Iodide in brine water is sourced from partnerships with oil and gas operators in the United States and is used as a raw material for the production of iodine at Co.'s multiple IOsorb® plants. Iodine containing or other halogen-based products are produced at and sold through Co.'s subsidiary, with the main raw material being Co.'s produced iodine.
