ETF Asset Class: Equity

Equities — the most common holdings for a typical ETF — are stocks or shares of a company. While equities do not offer a fixed interest rate, they denote partial ownership in the company and make the holder entitled to share of the company's income. ETFs that are built of equities invest in the stock market, exposing them to all of the risk and potential reward that it offers.
