Alcanna is engaged in the retailing of wines, beers and spirits and the retailing of cannabis. Co. operates in two business segments: Liquor Operations and Cannabis Operations. Co. primarily operates under the brand names Liquor Depot and Ace Liquor in Alberta and British Columbia; Wine and Beyond in Alberta and Brown Jug in Alaska. Co., through its Nova Cannabis branded stores, is focused on developing a cannabis business within the regulatory framework of the Province of Alberta, the Province of Ontario and within commercial reasonableness. As of Dec. 31, 2019, Co. operated 255 liquor stores in Canada and U.S.; and 16 recreational cannabis retail stores in Alberta and one in Ontario.
