Pacific Health Care Organization is a workers' compensation managed care company providing a range of services principally to California employers and claims administrators. Through its subsidiary, Medex Healthcare, Inc., Co. holds licenses to establish and manage a Health Care Organization (HCO) and act as a Medical Provider Network (MPN). Co.'s HCO is a network of health care personnel engaging in the treatment of workplace injuries and in back-to-work rehabilitation and training of Co.'s clients' employees. Like an HCO, an MPN is a network of health care personnel, but MPN networks do not require the same level of medical capability in treating workplace injuries.
