SalMar is engaged in the farming and production of Atlantic salmon. Co. is vertically integrated along the entire value chain from broodfish, roe and smolt to harvesting, processing and sales. Co. maintains a total of 100 licences for the production of Atlantic salmon in Norway: 68 in Central Norway (Møre & Romsdal and Trøndelag), and 32 in Northern Norway (Troms & Finnmark). In Norway, the fish farming segment (including hatchery activities) is divided into two regions: Fish Farming Central Norway and Fish Farming Northern Norway. The operating segment Arnarlax in Iceland is a fully integrated aquaculture company with its own hatchery, sea farms, harvesting plant and sales force.
