West End Indiana Bancshares is a savings and loan holding company. Through its West End Bank, S.B. subsidiary, Co. accepts retail deposits from the general public in its market area and invests those deposits, together with funds generated from operations, and to a lesser extent, borrowings, in one- to four-family residential real estate loans, indirect automobile loans, commercial and multi-family real estate loans, and, to a lesser extent, second mortgages and equity lines of credit, construction loans and commercial business loans. Co. provides a selection of deposit accounts, including checking accounts, NOW accounts, money market accounts, savings accounts and certificates of deposit.
